frequently asked questions

Q:	What makes Land Arch, Inc. unique?

A:	We are a pestigious landscape design company which has created landscape enviroments for 20 years
throughout California, Colorado, Illinois, and other continents. We are well versed in all areas of design and go to great
lengths to ensure that every project is unique and tailored to our clients needs. We are fluent in both warm and frost regions,
as well as mountain regions for construction practices.

Q:	Is my project to small, only 250 s.f., for consideration

A:	Absolutely. While the majority of work is estate gardeni design, small space garden design is somteimes more challenging,
as every square inch must be examined and utilized properly for a successfulimplimentation. In the past we have done great
work within spaces as small as, a 150 s.f. patio in Venice, CA and a 325 s.f. roof top garden in Aspen Colorado.

Q:	What services can you provide as a residential landscape designer

A: Please see the information on our services offered.

Q:	How much will your services cost?

A:	We charge on a per hour basis, and this fee is established by the amount of work to be performed by us, and is
discussed at the initial on-site meeting. Our initial consultation is free.

Q:	How long will it take to generate a setting of working construction documents for our contractor?

A:	This varies to to the size and intensity of the design project, and whether or not a civil engineer is involved
	in the process.

Q:	Do you provide "online design" services?

A:	No, these types of firms generally provide a substandard design service. Our services are intensive and customized to
	each project.

Q:	Should I wait to call you until our home is remodeled or constructed?

A:	No, construction pre-planning can avoid costly construction modifications for items which were not thought out prior
	to initiation of work.

Q: Are you a licensed landscape contractror/architect who can design and install my garden or swimming pool?

A:	Yes we are a licensed, 663997, landscape (C-27) and swimming pool (C-53) contractor, however we are not practicing
as contractors in California or Colorado, and our license is currently in an inactive status. We do not install any of our
designs nor act in any capacity as a landscape or general contractor. However, we can assist you in selecting a licensed
contractor and help ensure the work they preform is to the standards of our design. Brian Ackerman is a registered
landscape architect in Colorado (LA-522) and is considered a landscape designer for California.

Q:	Can you act as our representative or general contractor?

A:	No. While we are licensed we do not practice as a contractor. We can help you select a contractor and act as your
agent to ensure that the work installed is correct and standards are adhered to. We can also help you procure
construction materials, as many items we specify come from out of the United States, i.e. stone, teak, etc.

Q: How do I get started?

A:	Give us a call to discuss your needs and project. What we look for are open minded clients, who have projects that
have design integrity, whether it is an estate or small space garden. However, we do not accept every project, as this
is not possible due to the high demand of our sevices.
